About the Neighbourhood: Trumpeter by Big Lake

Trumpeter is located in Big Lakes area in northwest Edmonton. Originally known as Neighbourhood 1, it was established in 2008 through the adoption of the Big Lake Neighbourhood One Neighbourhood Plan Structure. Its name was changed to Trumpeter on August 19, 2009. The neighbourhood is bounded by a future arterial road to the north, the North Saskatchewan River valley to the south, 199th Street to the east, and Winterburn Road (215th Street) to the west.

The majority of residential development in Trumpeter will be low- and medium-density housing. Over 50 schools are located in the west Edmonton area, as are a number of golf and country clubs, the Misericordia and University of Alberta Hospitals, and the Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park.
