Highway 15/37 Intersection 9 Months Behind Schedule :(

Highway 15/37 Intersection 9 Months Behind Schedule 🙁

Construction improvements on one of the busiest intersections in the heartland are going to be delayed due to winter weather.
With Mother Nature providing poor work conditions throughout the summer and fall, the Highway 15, 37 and 825 intersection won’t be finished until next summer at the earliest.
“The work now is about 70 to 75 per cent complete,” said Jeff Zhang, construction manager for Alberta Transportation. “Next year, likely in May, they will return to site again.”
The project was originally planned to be finished in October of 2018.
“Hopefully by sometime in July or August the project will come to total completion,” added Zhang.
The $15 million project will feature free-flow lanes from Highway 15 to Highway 825 and traffic lights at the intersection of Highway 825 and 37 (with a dedicated lane for motorists travelling from Highway 825 to Edmonton).
Traffic lights at the Highway 37 and 15 intersection won’t change.
