“High Demand for More Affordable Properties” – The latest headline from Edmonton Real Estate Association. Single-family detached homes were up 21.8% from August 2022 but a marginal decrease of 3.1% from July 2023. Detached homes averaged $495,005 (significant decrease from last month) Semi-detached sold for an average of $373,175, and row/townhouses sold at $253,345.
Not unusual to see a slow down in the market heading into the cooler months! However, we are seeing a high interest in smaller, more affordable properties with Row/Townhouses selling 50% more units than the same time last year and jumping 23.5% from July.
